13 Lessons & Things I've Learned in 2018

  1. On pursuing goals: you can achieve them, but remember that willpower is a short-term strategy. No matter the length of life, incorporate good rest and enjoy it while it lasts. Your body needs it.
  2. Sometimes you can be as attractive and wonderful as you've ever dreamed, and it doesn't take someone else to prove that, but it helps.
  3. Being ADHD means the stimuli cocktail of the internet sugars your life, but is often lacking substance.
  4. Reduce your stimuli, start asking yourself what you really want, and don't let other people's path influence you just because you want success sooner. Success comes when it comes, but "accomplishments are transient." When it's gone, who will you be?
  5. For the softest possible cookies, use cream of tartar when baking. You'e welcome.
  6. The smartest people are good at convincing themselves of things which aren't true, and your intuition can fail you, too; find a balance. Being wrong is next to being more correct.
  7. A little exercise and incorporation of veggies into your diet goes a longer way than you think.
  8. Being excellent to others is hard when the way you want to be treated is not preferable to someone else. The golden rule is, at times, bogus.
  9. There are people which are bullies because their world treated them poorly, and there are genuinely kind people who also got the same treatment. One of them sets an example, and one of them gives up. Guess which one.
  10. I am most humbled when I realize that most everyone is bad at arguing effectively, and we fight over who's version of mediocrity is more superior. Many people are just tryna live so they can look at screens their whole life.
  11. If you don't have a relationship with a person, you at least have one with something, so make it a good one.
  12. Intelligence is not always about what is on display, but what is withheld, so be wary of grandstanders with the English language; it's just a tool.
  13. You and everyone else is a product of their environment, so do your best to hate the game and not the player.
